Professional Profile
Adnan Ikram is a
professional engineer and holds a bachelor degree in
Electronic engineering from NED University, Karachi.
Pakistan. Adnan is also a TOGAF 9 Certified and IBM
Infrastructure Systems Architect. Adnan’s overall job
experience is spread over 30 plus years of
professional services and management in the field of
Information Technology and management.
Before joining TLC
he has worked with IBM Pakistan as Client Technical
Architect (FSS) and prior to IBM he has served for
Fujitsu as Enterprise Business Development Manager
for Pakistan. Prior to Fujitsu, he has worked for
Si3 one of the largest systems integrators in
Pakistan as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Si3,
he was a part of IBM Pakistan where he worked as a
Country Systems Product Manger and Pakistan ICL
(International Computers Limited, a UK based
computer organization) for nine and five years
respectively.
His main area of
expertise is IBM POWER architecture, IBM POWER entry
- enterprise server brand portfolio running IBM AIX
operating system, Fujitsu PRIMERGY Rack and Blade
Centers and IBM/NetApp/Fujitsu ETERNUS storage, data
replication technologies. One of his main areas of
interest is built on studying and offering solutions
based on High Availability subsystem and Site
Disaster Recovery. He has also provided consulting
services to several organizations in Pakistan in the
area of Disaster Backup Recovery, Systems
Securities, AIX Systems Health Check and
Optimizations, System Performance Monitoring &
Management, IBM presales server and storage
solutioning and sizing & application
benchmarking, Building IT strategies and IT
policies, and Solution design based on cross brand
technologies offered by IBM Dynamic Infrastructure
primarily Business Resilience, System Consolidation
and Virtualization, and Cloud Computing.
Adnan’s
contribution to IT R&D is significant; he was a
part of IBM’s international research teams and
contributed in 10 IBM Redbooks. He is a passionate
presenter and instructor and has been involved in
imparting enterprise level courses locally and
internationally from users level to senior
management level including CXO's.
